YEAR 12 WEEK 4 TERM 2 2020

Year 12 Week 4 Term 2 2020

Hero Image

It has been fantastic to see the boys return to school full-time this week. The morning routine of temperature checks has provided an opportunity to touch base with each boy, which is something to be relished following a period of isolation and absence. Thank you to the entire community for the way in which they have embraced the new norm. It is vital we maintain the high standards in social distancing and hygiene to ensure we can continue along this path.

Knox 1 was buzzing this week with rugby, football and athletics training and the pool has also opened; something the swimmers have certainly missed. The performers have also enjoyed being able to rehearse and practise; Knox is not the same without the sound of Pipes and Drums in the morning. We were privileged to acknowledge the men and women who have fought for their country during Sunday’s ANZAC Day Service. Congratulations to Nick Reynolds, James Constable, Oscar Petro, Jake Evans, Elliot Albany and Finn Cameron on their efforts in organising and participating in the service.

Following a period of uncertainty, the HSC timetable came out this week. Hopefully it provides the boys with clarity and a clear direction. This week, Mr Weeding spoke to boys about having a growth mindset and taking positives from learning online while also stressing the importance of the upcoming assessments. Across all subjects, time management and examination stamina will be vital. Year 12 are all highly encouraged to make the most of their study periods, weekends and also utilise the Seniors' Hall as evening study sessions return. Remember to the email Mrs Cherry so we can ensure equity in using this space.

Have a lovely weekend – stay warm!

An all over short haircut may be acceptable to a minimum No.3 cut. Dying of hair is not permitted under any circumstances. In all respects, the School remains the final arbiter of what is acceptable.
