NSW State Band Championships

Our Symphonic Wind Ensemble, Concert Band and Year 7 Wind Band all placed first in their respective divisions with the Year 8 Wind Band finishing fifth. Mr James Brice OAM, Head of Co-Curricular Performing Arts reports: “This is the first time we have had Knox Grammar School representation at this competition across all four divisions; making history as the first time one singular institution (school or community) has represented themselves with this extraordinary depth”.

NSW Swimming Championships

The Knox Pymble Swim Club won the overall point score at the NSW Swimming Championship, with our male swimmers contributing 3,780 points out of the total 4,771. The club secured 36 gold medals (four in relays), 34 silver medals (six in relays), and 19 bronze medals (two in relays). Special mention goes to Lukas (Year 9) who won 11 individual gold medals.

Prep School Immersions

Each of the Houses at the Knox Preparatory School selected an organisation to support, learn about and raise funds for much needed resources. In the last week of Term 3, groups from each House visited their organisation to learn about the community and complete projects.

“Words can only convey so much; it's the images that tell the story. Children who do not share a language; children who come from very different circumstances; children who share just being children. Children are children the world over, and our boys have discovered that.” – Mrs Sue Floro, Head of Knox Preparatory Grammar School.
